Plans for Stadium for Cornwall and shops and homes could collapse without taxpayer money bailout???

According to the ‘West Briton’

Massive development plans for the Stadium for Cornwall, homes and shops are in danger of collapsing if Cornwall Council does not step in and use taxpayers’ money to bail them out. The council could be set to buy land in Truro and build 480 homes to kickstart the huge building projects near Truro. It is looking to intervene after fears were raised that plans for almost 3,000 homes, a raft of community facilities, retail stores and the stadium could collapse unless the public sector got involved.

Ok, we have a target for a ridiculous number of new houses outside Truro [We do not need them to meet local needs!].

The developers promise to build a stadium, if they are allowed the houses!

Now it seems the developers need public funding to start things off!!!

Would it not have been more sensible for houses that are needed to meet local needs to be publicly funded from the start without all the unnecessary add-ons!

[Now as we know, the ‘extra’ jobs and facilities are not extra at all, they are needed to meet the needs of the new residents].
