According to the urban commentariat there is plenty of land out there to build on – empty acres of disused space. Now in reality that’s an urban myth or an example of alternative facts.
In reality most of that land is used for something productive.
And following on from our recent analysis of land use lets look at the northern part of Redruth – an area that to its inhabitants and outsiders is thought of as urban.
In 2005, 40% of it was classified as green space! Ripe for development then? [Some has probably been developed in the rush to accommodate a growing population].
But the greenspaces of Redruth are already being used – helping to make life more liveable for the local residents!
