Barripper – The planning agents for Poltair Housing claimed objectors to a scheme for 20 houses on a large field on the edge of the village ‘did not represent the views of those resident in the area’. In response, a door to door canvass was organised and 189 local residents, the majority of the village, signed a petition objecting. The moral is never believe a planning agent. [PA16/03451]
Presumably if a large number of people objected to a proposal the developers would say “Oh, ok we will not build here”. Unlikely! Developers will use any excuse to get permission.
