From ‘It’s Our Cornwall’
You wait for ages and then two come along. At Trewennack to the north east of Helston local developers won an appeal in August 2015 against Cornwall Council’s refusal to grant permission for 340 houses (40% ‘affordable’). Now they’re back with a revised proposal for 450 houses (30% ‘affordable’). So that’s almost 1,000 houses at Helston, which is ‘recognised as a sustainable location for development’
1,000 extra houses at Helston?
And how many are there now?
According to the 2011 census there were 4,870 dwellings.
Thats an increase of 21%!
Now its pretty obvious that Helston is not having a baby boom so who are all these houses for?
