If we are to have any chance of combating climate breakdown we have to take some serious policy decisions. Simply saying climate change/breakdown is bad and we are against it will not do.
In a Cornish context that means:
A sustainable and realistic housing target – 29,000 is the maximum)
Reducing car use – if you want to live in Cornwall but like trotting all over the place as if you lived in a big city with easy public transport – forget it!
Reducing air travel – flying and dealing with climate breakdown do not to together!
Changing our lifestyles – consume less of everything, there is more to life than shopping!
