Ah good news at last! According to Graham Timmins of Miller Commercial there is high demand for ‘lifestyle’ businesses. We assume from the blurb this refers to leisure and holiday businesses. In fact by Mr Timmins reckoning 53% of all sales go to ‘out of county’ buyers. So there we are more people moving to Cornwall for lifestyle reasons. Of course that also applies to people purchasing houses. Thats why the
plan has a target of 52,500 houses.
It’s not local need but satisfying the insatiable demand from people elsewhere that is driving the target. A demand that can only be met by covering more of Cornwall with houses in the process pushing the population to a million or more sooner than you think!
