Link road is the driver of prosperity, says Eustace

So runs this weeks ‘West Briton’ headline. He is quoted as saying “the roads opening would lead to the creation of well-paid jobs for local people, with the regions growing computer soft-ware industry among those looking to utilise the land made accessible by the new road.”

Oh dear, do we have to explain this again (Ed. yes we do). Ok the plan is for more jobs to be created – fine but at the same time most of the land ‘made accessible’ for development is for HOUSING! That means there will be more jobseekers – at least one per house – who will need jobs.

More houses = more jobseekers = more jobs created, means extra jobs created for existing population = 0
