The downside of Poldark!


AS excited audiences anticipate the BBC’s new adaptation of Poldark, there’s an opportunity to own a piece of Cornish heritage dating from the tin mining heyday.

Saddle Rock Mine at Belowda Beacon, near St Austell is a Grade II listed former tin mine, and is up for sale with a price tag of £375,000.

If the series inspires you to reach into your pocket and make an offer for Saddle Rock, you might want to know that it also comes with planning permission for three residential dwellings, as well as two field enclosures of about five acres of good pastureland.

Well two very quick points:

1) we can expect more adverts extolling the value of buying a property in Cornwall (surprised that it does not mention the potential for income from the properties from holiday lets!).

2) All those who assume that how and where you advertise should take note.
