The Cornish Guardian picked up on the news that the Broadmoor farm
development unsustainable loss of green fields proposal had been given permission.
The proposer of the resolution to approve – Mr Hughes said: “There’s a demand for housing in this area, with 657 people on the housing register. If we are to turn down this application we will receive 8 to 10 more almost straight away. The benefit of this one is everything that comes with it.”
How many times do we have to point out
– the HCR is not a reliable indicator of a need to build more houses!!! Most of the 657 are already housed and a fair number are adequately housed!!!
The number of new builds required is more like say 60-120!
