According to last weeks Cornish Guardian
BODMIN could be set for another jobs boost with variety discount chain B&M planning to open a store on Launceston Road, creating up to 75 full-time and part-time jobs. The plans are part of Phase 2 of the multimillion-pound Callywith Retail Park which could bring more than 100 jobs to the town in all, and work on the store could begin in the summer if planners approve the scheme.
Work is almost complete on Phase 1 of the development, a KFC fast food outlet and car wash in a field next to the Callywith restaurant on Launceston Road, which is set to open in April, creating up to 30 jobs.
Comment Lots more retail and some fast food jobs! Yes the residents of Bodmin must be overjoyed at the prospect of being at the leading edge of economic progress. Callywith ridge as opposed to Silicon valley! Bodmin is
about to make a great leap forward! stuck in an unsustainable development trajectory.
